Why Do We Have Membership?
Membership is the life blood of our Club and without it we would cease to exist. On average it costs the Club about $50,000+ per year just to function and get players on the field. From a members contribution perspective this is as little as $6.75 per week, it’s a couple of beers at the local pub or a happy meal for the kids, less than a $1 a day. Sponsorship whilst playing an important part will not alone cover all the associated costs.
At Coburg we don't cut corners, it’s a trademark and we intend to maintain a high standard. Unlike other Clubs we always provide umpires at home games, have trainers to lend support to players to manage injury and recovery and all the equipment and materials needed to ensure high quality training and enjoyable games. We will NEVER compromise on this because it's what the members of our Club come to expect.
How Much is Membership?
The Club is pleased to announce that there is no increase on membership in 2017 and it will remain at $350 for playing members and $300 for playing life members.
Please note when using the online registration system the fee listed will be higher than $350. This is because the transaction fees are included in the price. To avoid transaction fees members will need to pay by Cash, Cheque, Direct Deposit or Credit/Debit Cards through the Club. We cannot accept EFTPOS from Savings or Cheque accounts.
What is Included in my Membership?
Membership includes the cost of umpires and officials at match, access to trainers, medical equipment, eligibility for match awards and votes. It does not include jumpers, shorts, socks or other apparel. These items can be purchased separately throughout the season and order forms will be available.
Be advised that membership subscriptions include club liability insurance but do NOT include personal insurance coverage. Individuals are encouraged to look into obtaining private health and income protection insurance to ensure suitable coverage to suit their circumstances.
New players will be required to purchase a starter pack additional to their membership subscription. The new player starter pack includes a jumper (short sleeve), shorts and socks and is heavily discounted at only $35, and is a one-time only offer to new players.

What if I Cannot Pay The Membership Subscription up Front?
The Club understands that not everyone's financial position is the same and people sometimes find it difficult to pay the total cost upfront. Therefore, we have introduced a direct debit payment plan which is managed through an organisation called Pay Advantage.
Members have two options 10 payments of $35.85 per fortnight ($30.85 per fortnight for life members) or 6 payments of $59.20 per month ($50 per month for life members). CLICK HERE to download the payment plan forms.

Player Sponsorship is an Option
The Club has the option of Player Sponsorship which covers a players membership but also some additional benefits to the sponsor. This is a great option for self-employed members and for individuals that can be supported by a business.

Can I Become a Non-Playing Member?
Yes, you most certainly can. If you still want to be part of the Club but can no longer play we welcome you to join. The fee for Non-Playing Membership is $50.
